As a side note, I usually check my email only once a day because it is more efficient that way. I hate uploading my email to check for new mail every two minutes because I get nothing done (see my blog post The Difference Between Being Busy and Being Productive). I'm just not a big fan of being a slave to every piece of electronic content that happens to appear in my email at the exact moment that it arrives. "Time", just like its derivative "money", is either a terrible master or a great servant. I prefer to make it my servant.
